Intertech Instructors / Engineers

Intertech instructors, Don Thomasser and Brad Hite, are control system design engineers with extensive experience in the design and implementation of major control systems in industrial plants. Jeff has extensive background in the electrical engineering field. All of our instructors are extremely qualified to teach Intertech's PLC technical education / training classes.


Don Thomasser formerly was the training manager for the Northwest Regional Modicon office in Portland, Oregon, from 1982 to 1985. He founded Intertech in 1986 because he realized that there is a substantial and critical need for technical instruction in the use and implementation of industrial control systems. Don also has eight years of experience as a systems control engineer. He has been teaching technical education courses for more than thirty years, and he has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Two-Way Communications, from Milwaukee Institute of Technology.


Brad Hite came to Intertech from John I Hass, Inc., a Super Critical CO2 Extract Facility in Yakima, Washington, where he was the assistant plant manager. At John I Hass, Inc., Brad's responsibilities included supervision of process technicians and maintenance of the process control systems. Prior to that position, Brad was the process engineer for the Nestle Brands Potato Division at Othello, Washington, for three years. At Nestle, he was in charge of the PLC and SCADA systems and supervised the process control technicians. Brad designed and implemented a plant-wide computer network for process information and control and statistical process control. Brad has been teaching technical education courses at Intertech since 1993. He has a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Oregon State University.


Jeff Winders has joined the Intertech Incorporated team as a Project Engineer / Instructor.  Jeff is an Oregon State University alumni, and has over thirty (30) years of work experience in the electrical engineering field. In addition, Jeff is a veteran of the US Navy with an honorable discharge and completed Naval Nuclear Power School. The technical experience Jeff has acquired will assist Intertech in new product development as well as course and product improvements. He will be involved with technical education and engineering projects at our Corvallis, Oregon location and onsite at customer facilities. Jeff is knowledgeable in multiple hardware and software platforms, is a self-starter and detail oriented.Jeff has worked as a journeyman electrician/engineer in a variety of industries including Nuclear Power, Forest Industries, Electric & Electronic Companies and Manufacturing.  Jeff’s work experience includes system design and programming for building and safety systems, PLC installation, startup & testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and programming, project management and training. Jeff owned a licensed and bonded specialty contracting company for eight (8) years using his knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing and woodworking. Jeff’s troubleshooting and problem solving skills along with his great attention to detail and extensive technical background is a valuable new resource for our customers; Intertech Inc. engineering services and our technical education courses.
