Intertech Instructors/Engineers

Intertech instructors, Don Thomasser and Brad Hite, are control system design engineers with extensive experience in the design and implementation of major control systems in industrial plants. Both Brad and Don are extremely qualified to teach Intertech's PLC training classes.

Don Thomasser formerly was the training manager for the Northwest Regional Modicon office in Portland, Oregon, from 1982 to 1985. He founded Intertech in 1986 because he realized that there is a substantial and critical need for technical instruction in the use and implementation of industrial control systems. Don also has eight years of experience as a systems control engineer. He has been teaching technical education courses for more than thirty years, and he has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Two-Way Communications, from Milwaukee Institute of Technology.

Brad Hite came to Intertech from John I Hass, Inc., a Super Critical CO2 Extract Facility in Yakima, Washington, where he was the assistant plant manager. At John I Hass, Inc., Brad's responsibilities included supervision of process technicians and maintenance of the process control systems. Prior to that position, Brad was the process engineer for the Nestle Brands Potato Division at Othello, Washington, for three years. At Nestle, he was in charge of the PLC and SCADA systems and supervised the process control technicians. Brad designed and implemented a plant-wide computer network for process information and control and statistical process control. Brad has been teaching technical education courses at Intertech since 1993. He has a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Oregon State University.
