This next one is interesting. Terry has successfully installed Linux (RedHat 7.1) on his FX210.  The only thing he hasn't got working is the modem which is no great surprise because it is a Winmodem. Here is what Terry has to say about the install process.

I just trashed the D:\ windoze partition on the hd and put cd#1 in and let it boot. The GUI install didn't give me any trouble (ie burning up the screen(as it did on a twinhead that I had from my former employer)) X installed right out of the box no tinkering required after the install. I'm running KDE as opposed to GNOME which I think uses less resources or at least it does on my HP vectra 133 which only has 90mb RAM.
