I just trashed the D:\ windoze partition on the hd and put cd#1 in and let it boot. The GUI install didn't give me any trouble (ie burning up the screen(as it did on a twinhead that I had from my former employer)) X installed right out of the box no tinkering required after the install. I'm running KDE as opposed to GNOME which I think uses less resources or at least it does on my HP vectra 133 which only has 90mb RAM.
